Visit Bowerstone

Brought to you by the Albion Board of Tourism.
Diverse, vibrant, and practically popping with character, Bowerstone is the place to be if you’re looking to break away from the pastoral hum of the countryside. Packed with trendy shops, pubs, and bustling markets, there’s no better place in Albion to visit. Or to bring your hard-earned wages.

Bowerstone on a Budget
Not everything in Bowerstone costs money, of course. As you’d expect of the oldest city in Albion, Bowerstone’s skyline is made up of all sorts of iconic buildings and culturally significant monuments, which, we’re very proud to say, you can look at for free!
Perched atop Castle Hill and the “crowning jewel” of Bowerminster, Bowerstone Castle is the capital’s most iconic landmark. Famed for its Old Kingdom Revivalist architecture, Bowerstone Castle also includes Fairfax Gardens, the proud winner of eighty-five Albion in Bloom Awards.
(The Crown has asked us to remind everyone that all Albion in Bloom Awards are fairly earned and that the Royal Groundskeepers no longer sit on the judging panel.)

Not far from the city centre sits the Heroes’ Guild, home of current Guildmaster, Humphry the Golden. Though unprecedentedly low on resident Heroes, tourists will still be able to catch a glimpse of the fabled Guildmaster most evenings, on his way back from his favourite pub, The Knackered Mare. Don’t worry if you miss him, though – keen Hero-spotters can catch him headed back to the Mare, The Coronet, or other fine Bowerstone drinkeries first thing in the morning.

Also available for anyone to look at is the clocktower affectionately known as Good Godric. Built hundreds of years ago to celebrate the coronation of the first Queen Jane, and named after her brother, we’re proud to say that Good Godric has been known to tell the correct time up to two times a day!

And if all this sightseeing has made you hungry, or you’re simply looking for some wallet-friendly gifts for friends back home, we’d recommend a short jaunt into Copperbottom to take in the rustic sights and sample the local cuisine. We’re told The Pork Circus stocks spectacular black pudding.
(We do, however, recommend avoiding The Pour House due to recent reports of criminal activity.)

Bowerstone on an Inheritance
If money’s no object, then Bowerminster is the place to spend it! As an appetiser to a day spent in Bowerstone’s most exclusive shopping district, we recommend paying a visit to the local patisserie, If the Choux Fits, proud inventors of the Bowerstone Castle carrot cake.
Don’t eat too much, however, because high-end tailors Fit for a King is an essential visit, and can rejuvenate the tiredest of wardrobes. Stocking brands from Uffbridge to Sterling, Lady Gladwyn's famous clothing emporium recently added a most sought-after item to its collection: a suit of solid-gold armour once worn by a Bowerstone monarch famed for his unpopular tax policies.
Due to the overall impractical nature of the ensemble, these statement pieces are actually worth slightly less than their weight in gold. But you can’t put a price on making an entrance.

Should you take a liking to Bowerminster, why not buy a house? Cyclamen Grange has only very recently become available due to a tragic chandelier accident. Don’t miss this excellent chance to get on the ladder in a coveted postcode.
Plan your visit
Bowerstone has stood for centuries and is unlikely to be destroyed anytime soon! But that doesn’t mean now is not the perfect time to visit, whether that be for a spot of shopping, a staycation, or simply to immerse yourself in the culture of Albion’s first city.
We’ll see you again next time, when we explore yet another of Albion’s vibrant regions. Indeed, it might not even be worth unpacking your suitcase!
